The primary mission of Slapering Hol Press (SHP) is to advance the national and international conversation of poetry and poetics and to provide opportunities for emerging poets. As one of the oldest chapbook presses in the United States, since 1990, Slapering Hol Press, among other initiatives, has held a chapbook contest for poets who have not previously published in book form. Tonight’s reading features 3 SHP poets reading and discussing their work.
