African-American women designers, milliners, and quilters have designed for and dressed women from all walks of life–including famous names like Ruby Dee, Sara Vaughn, and Jackie Kennedy. you’ll hear about several of these ladies who lived from 1850 to the present and get a taste of their fashion.
Threads of Time: The Fabric of History was written by Rosemary Reed Miller. Ms. Miller owned and operated the unique Washington DC boutique Toast & Strawberries for over 30 years.
