Event Details

Do you feel lighter when standing neck deep inside a swimming pool? This is because liquids push objects up when those objects are inside the liquid. This force is called buoyancy. Find out more about the story and the mathematics (sg=wt in air/(wt in air – wt under water)) behind buoyancy. Engineer Ragu Nathan will explain this, we will do experiments and take measurements, and we will watch videos to learn how buoyancy can work for us. For ages 10-14. Registration required. 3rd floor meeting room.

We’re sorry. This event is currently full.
