Join us for a special panel discussion on Public Art, Literary Activism, & Philanthropy on Wednesday, March 31st at 7:00PM.
The panel will be moderated by Nestor Alvarenga, Telemundo 44’s Community Affairs Manager.
Our panelists are distinguished in their accomplishments:
- Carol Trawick is co-founder of the Trawick Foundation, which assists local health and human service and arts non-profit organizations in Montgomery County.
- Sasa Aakil is an 18-year-old multi-media artist, writer, and the 2021 Montgomery County Youth Poet Laureate. She is a co-author of I Am The Night Sky and Other Reflections by Muslim American Youth and the artist behind the A Man Was Lynched Yesterday Project.
- Alfredo Ratinoff is a mosaic artist who has served as artist-in-residence at the Smithsonian and the Holton-Arms School. Mr. Ratinoff’s many artworks are featured prominently at locations like the Mansion at Strathmore and the Watergate Gallery. His series of literary murals, once displayed at the Barnes & Noble on Rockville Pike will be available at our Library After Dark Silent Auction.
