Event Details

The Friends of the Library, Germantown chapter invite you to join us for Bastien and Bastienne, a charming chamber opera written by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart when he was 12 years old! A shepherdess, her addle-brained shepherd, and the village flim-flam man collide and collude in all things romantic to send-up every operatic and social convention and give everyone a good laugh at Life and Love opera-style! The artists from The American Center for Puccini Studies will present this insouciant little opera in a cheeky new English translation by ACPS Founding Artistic Director, Dr. Harry N. Dunstan. The performance is suitable for all ages and is free and open to the public. For more information, visit PucciniAmerica.org.

Sponsored by Friends of the Library, Germantown Chapter.
