Event Details

Traditional West African dance, drumming, history, and culture. Sponsored by Friends of the Library, Montgomery County.

Space is limited; free tickets required, available at the Circulation desk 30 minutes before the event. One ticket per person, while supplies last.

Traditional African dance and drum ceremonies and celebrations, adapted for all-age audiences, communicate the rich and complex history and culture of West Africa. KanKouran West African Dance Company’s technical prowess, energy and grace entertain and move audiences everywhere.

This is a summertime program for children of all ages and their families.
