Help us make cards for local older adults as part of the Random Acts of Kindness Week for Summer Reading Challenge! Sponsored by the Friends of the Library, Montgomery County.

MCPL is celebrating our very own Random Acts of Kindness Week from 7/30/23 thru 8/5/23.  Random Acts of Kindness week complements this year’s Summer Reading theme, “All Together Now” and “Kindness, Friendship, and Unity” as well as the County organizations we are partnering with this year.  We hope this will be a fun celebration for all!

Participate at Rockville by making Kindness Cards to give our community’s older adults living in a local senior living facility.  Stop by the Rockville Memorial Library from July 14th to July 28th and pick up a kit that will include all the materials you need to craft a Kindness Card. Then return the finished card, to Rockville Library 21 Maryland Ave, any time before Friday, July 30th.The library will deliver the completed Kindness Cards to older adults residing in a local senior facility. This is one way you can express kindness and we just know they will love your creativity and kind gesture!

All ages are invited to pick up a kit at the Rockville Memorial Library while supplies last.

Accommodation Requests

People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing should request English-language captioning or sign-language interpretation at least five days before the library-sponsored program they plan to attend.
