Event Details

Juan is an Andean musician from Peru currently living in the Washington Metropolitan Area. His experience with the traditional ethnic music from the Andes started at a young age, participating in main folk traditional events in the deepest highlands of Peru. Juan’s music brings the haunting sounds and mystic power from the Andes to the rest of the Americas and the world, using traditional instruments such as zamponas, moscenos, quenas and tarkas.

Juan has performed in main venues such as The Kennedy Center
Millennium Stage, The Organization of the American States, The Smithsonian Museum of the Indian American, Smithsonian Folk Life Festival Pachamama featuring Peru (2015) and many others.
