Event Details

Kick-off the 2024 Montgomery County Public Library Summer Reading Challenge with party activities and crafts! Join us for a regional kick-off party celebrating at Kensington Park Library with the Brigadier General Charles E. McGee Library and the Noyes Library for Young Children.

During the event, library staff and volunteers will be available to answer questions about program, assist with sign-ups, and provide gameboards and a free book for children and teens who register. Can’t make the event? Sign-up (or log in) online or at your local library starting May 15, and begin logging your reading, activities, and pick up your free book starting June 14.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.

Accommodation Requests

People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing should request English-language captioning or sign-language interpretation at least five days before the library-sponsored program they plan to attend. Contact the Assistant Facilities and Accessibility Program Manager at 240-777-0002 with all other accommodation requests.
