


Friends of the Library is a private nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL) through fundraising and advocacy efforts. The Friends supports county-wide library projects that encourage reading and life long learning. The Friends works to increase library access for new immigrants, older adults, and other emerging populations. The Friends also promotes librarianship as a career and the literary work of local authors.

The Friends operates two bookstores in Rockville and Wheaton that offer an affordable selection of books, videos, tapes, and records. New items daily! Donations are tax-deductible and are accepted during store hours only. Limited pick-up is available. All proceeds benefit Montgomery County Public Libraries.
