Gary S. Shaivitz

Gary is long time Maryland Banker and became part of Montgomery County Business Community upon joining HarVest Bank of Maryland in 2004. Currently part of organizing management team at another start up financial insitution to be based in Rockville – USBC Bank (in organization). Gary has always been a regular user and avid supporter of libraries. He sees libaries as a key foundational element of the educational system and the economy. His children, University of Maryland graduates, have been blessed with great library systems where we live and in college. Gary has been a member of the Board of Trustees since 2005 and serves on the Finance and Strategic Planning committees.

Gary earned his BBA at Emory University with highest honors, has an MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
