Carol W. Leahy

Carol W. Leahy is a longtime supporter and advocate of the arts and humanities. Mrs. Leahy is highly regarded in the cultural arts community for having served in several volunteer leadership roles with Adventure Theatre and Silver Spring Stage. In 2001, Giant Food presented her the Award for Excellence in Volunteerism.

Mrs. Leahy is most passionate about arts education in the schools. With over 20 years of experience, she serves as an appointed member of the Superintendent’s Committee for Performances in the Schools. Mrs. Leahy also was a Great Books leader for eighth grade students and managed the cultural arts programs for several area elementary and junior high schools, directing after school plays and teaching drama classes.

Mrs. Leahy is on the Board of Governor’s at Montgomery College where she has taken numerous classes over the years. She is a graduate of Lasell College in Massachusetts and resides with her husband, Mike, in Potomac.
