Ann Dorough

Ann Dorough, Board President

Ann Dorough just can’t get enough of books and the people who read them. After spending all day handling corporate and institutional accounts and community relations at Barnes & Noble, she volunteers to help libraries. Ann joined the Board of Trustees in 2006, and already serves on the Strategic Planning and Executive Committees. She was previously a Legislative Assistant on Capital Hill and a news reporter, which cam in handy when visiting with elected officials to advocate for the library budget.

Ann lives in Bethesda with her husband, architect Gregory Uekman, and is Vice President of the Huntington Terrace Citizens’ Association. She was last seen chipping away at a tall stack of political, history and business books on her nightstand.
