Bethesda Opens New Teen Space
Bethesda debuted its new teen space with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Sunday, October 12, 2008, which was attended by Director Parker Hamilton, Manager Kay Bowman and Young Adult Librarian Kathie Weinberg. Bethesda chapter volunteers Sarah Fleischer and Herb Stone helped with the installation of fabric, bulletin boards and a new sign to delineate the space. The opening took place on the first day of National Teen Read Week, and attendees were invited to participate in a Rock Band video game contest.
