Board of Trustees
Matthew P. Fink
When Matthew P. Fink retired as President of the mutual fund industry's trade association, he planned to coast a bit. Little did he know his life would be so busy. He certainly didn't suspect his interest in collecting rare books would lead him to Friends of the Library, as a Board Member on the marketing and development committee.
Mr. Fink was employed by the Investment Company Institute, the national association of the mutual fund industry, from 1971 to 2004, and served as the Institute's President from 1991 to 2004. Since retiring, he has also become a trustee of the Committee for Economic Development, a director of the Oppenheimer Mutual Funds, and a member of the NASD Investment Companies Committee.
Mr. Fink is an honors graduate of Brown University and Harvard Law School. He resides in Chevy Chase with his wife Ellanor.
