James Lundlum, Business Manager
Mr. Ludlum graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Political Science. While in college he worked in the university library and in a small chain of retail bookstores.
After a teaching career of 20 years, he retired from the Bullis School in Potomac. While at Bullis he joined the Montgomery County Library Board and as Treasurer was responsible for the management of their monthly book sale at the Wheaton Library. He also served as Secretary for the Montgomery County Friends of the Library.
While filling these posts, he recognized the potential of the book sale and gradually began opening the Wheaton Library Book Sale for additional hours until it became a full time operation in 1996.
In 2004, he became Business Manager of Friends of the Library with the responsibility of operating the two bookstores in the Wheaton Library and in the Randolph Hills Shopping Center.
